Weird title, huh. I thought it might be. What it pertains to is trying to get a company up and running while creating a game in the process. There are a lot of things that go into doing just that and Medley is like a lot of others in that regard.
We tend to swim just ahead of the shark some days. We can feel the water boil around us and we continue to paddle on knowing that the wrong move could give the shark a tasty dinner. I am too tough to eat, so we Medley guys decided we would feed it Chris since he is the youngest and probably more succulent to shark palates.
For updates about what is going on, I can tell you that Joe is banging on the HTML pages for the game, and he should be very close to getting one finished to show. He has really developed some good stuff, and I believe you will like it. Chris is busy working on the flags for the game as anyone knows there are flags in stock car racing, and we just have to get the right animation for it.
The play by play for the game is being worked on by the testers right now, and they are adding some good stuff, and if you want to get involved, please feel free to email me tcdale at medleypublishing.com and I will get you the info on what we are looking for.
We are also expanding the categories for the pit crew and staff as the crew chiefs already had a good amount of skill sets, but the pit crew needed a few more to round them off. We are in discussions about what the new skillsets should be for the pit crew, and when we get that finalized, we will be posting more about that here.
Tim is working hard with the faces for the game, and is also trying to organize the pbp into something more intuitive and that is going along very well at this point.
If people are interested in helping out or wanting to get involved with the pre testing process please email me at my email address above.
We are looking for as much customization as we can get in SCR the game, because the more you can modify things to your liking, we hopefully can make this a great game to pick up and try. The work on the 3d model for the car is moving along, but I don't have any new shots to show you yet. That is on our to do list, and when we have more to show it will show up here first.
I promise.
Till next time, keep your foot on the gas, and just bump 'em out of the way!
TC
